Jack Hibbs “Fast Forwards” Faith, Combats Censorship with Real Life Network

Within the landscape of Christian media, a formidable trio––big tech, big government, and big business––looms large in silencing the teachings of Christ. In response, Jack Hibbs, founding pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, launched Real Life Network (RLN) at the 2023 NRB International Christian Media Convention in Orlando, Florida.

“American citizens better be concerned about the precarious state of their First Amendment rights. The assault is real, it’s happening right now, and it’s time to take a stand,” said Pastor Hibbs. “To combat this violent censorship, and the direct attack on the preaching of the Gospel, we are excited to launch The Real Life Network. We must be proactive in keeping truth as the primary narrative in society and speaking out against the forces that seek to silence us.”

RLN is a digital hub offering an exciting range of new and traditional video content rooted in the biblical worldview and tailored for families. With a platform that “fast forwards” the faith journey of audiences worldwide, Hibbs also wants to safeguard God’s Word from governmental and corporate censorship.

“The idea to do more in the media space followed our government’s attack on churches and free speech during COVID,” said Hibbs. “During my Bible study, God clearly spoke to me that the doors of His church will never be closed. On Pentecost Sunday in 2020, we defied Governor Gavin Newsom and the state of California and kept our church open at the onset of COVID lockdowns.”

“The Real Life Network is an extension of widening the doors to God’s church even further,” Hibbs continued.

According to Hibbs, the mission of RLN is three-fold: “To proclaim God’s Word to the ends of the earth, disciple and instruct millions of people how to live out life with a Biblical worldview, and ensure that God’s Word will never be silenced.”

Hibbs acknowledged that throughout history, the church has navigated challenges stemming from cultural shifts and hostilities. Proclaiming the Gospel on RLN is an opportunity to remain faithful and unwavering in the face of adversities. He stated, “For us now to proclaim the Gospel on the Real Life Network is to enshrine the opportunity to stay faithful.”

The digital streaming platform hosts numerous NRB member programs such as “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins” and “CURE America with Star Parker.”

Operated through donor contributions, RLN’s offerings come to subscribers free of charge, including distinctive on-demand and live programming sourced from Real Life Ministry and values-aligned partners. RLN content is viewable on mobile phones, connected TVs, desktops, laptops, tablets, AppleTV, Apple iOS, Amazon FireTV, Roku, Google Play, and other platforms.

To Hibbs, excellence in Christian communications stems from more than just eloquence—it’s anchored in conviction.

“Actually believing in what you proclaim is for me the most powerful tool that someone has in addressing the public,” said Hibbs. “If you have come to understand that what the Scriptures teach are in fact true, and that they are at work in your life, then there is really nothing in this world that can derail you from what God has in store for your life.”

Hibbs envisions “expanding, enlarging, and enhancing” RLN’s programming in the future.

“We plan on keeping a visual eye on the content while at the same time bringing the absolute best faith-based programming possible to the viewer,” said Hibbs.
